Emmy Nominations 2010 Released

Emmy nominations for the 62nd Annual Prime Time Emmy Awards were announced earlier this morningand by the looks of things, this year’s presenters at the August 29 ceremony better start warming up their vocal chords, because there’s going to be a lot of singing going on.

That’s because Fox’s pop juggernaut ‘Glee’ continued its rampage through the cultural landscape by racking up an impressive 19 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy, Lead Actor in a Comedy (Matthew Morrison) and Lead Actress in a Comedy (Lea Michele).

About the only person to have a better day than the cast of ‘Glee’ was Betty White, who continued her amazing career high with a nod for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series as host of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ her 20th Emmy nomination.

Of course, ‘Glee’s’ path to victory won’t be an easy one, as perennial powerhouses ’30 Rock’ and ‘The Office’ both also received nominations in all three categories.
